The reason I find this to be somewhat amazing is that some people out there look down on gluten free; some have even told me that gluten free food has a “stigma” attached to it. So for my little old book to be included with “regular” cookbooks, seems like a bit of a breakthrough.
Along these lines, I received a message in my forums the other day from Jody, asking for yummy gluten free foods good enough to serve to everyone.
I am trying to find some simple appetizers for a party on Saturday I want everyone to taste how good our food is! They are such skeptics. Anyway, I’ve searched a few sites but haven’t found what I’m looking for. Any help or suggestions would be wonderful! I’ve only been trying to eat this way for about a month. ;)
So Jody, here you have it, a menu of options for your holiday party. I hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow!
Like Jody, we had big plans for this weekend, however my younger son came down with a nasty case of the flu so I’m laying low with him, giving him lots of homemade apple sauce to help calm his tummy.
In blogging news, this weeks Friday Freebie is a Magic Line loaf pan which was given to me by one of my students, Kate, for the specific purpose of a giveaway. Thanks Kate, and it was great seeing you at the Bauman class Wednesday night. For those of you that would like to be eligible to win this lovely little loaf pan, just leave a comment below.
UPDATE: this giveaway has ended, the winner was Betsy
Also, Alison from Sure Foods Living is giving away a copy of my cookbook as well. You have to leave a comment on her Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook giveaway post before the end of today, so hurry on over.
Have a nice weekend everyone!
