<description>&#60;p&#62;I have used it successfully in quite a few recipes...it does well in baked goods such as pumpkin bread, carrot cake etc.  I am going to try it in the chocolate chip cookies and see how it works.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I should clarify that I am new to Elana's Pantry so I haven't tried it with any of her recipes, but I wouldn't be afraid to try to substitute up to half the oil.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Has anyone tried using applesauce as a substitute for the oil or at least some of the oil in these recipes? I was wondering how it would work and if it would taste good? or maybe date sauce/pear sauce? Thanks! It would really help as I am on a low fat diet due to health issues.
