I thought the Honeyville was pricey until I saw what the local health food store was charging for the Red Mill - 1# was $11.00!!!! OMG I'm thrilled to try these recipes, soooo looking forward to having crackers, and pizza dough. I'm sensitive to most of the alternative grain products as well, so this almond flour is a real find! But the cost of the flour does cause a bit of "sticker shock", so I'll have to pick and choose how I use it. I'm waiting for UPS to deliver my Honeyville order next week.

Part of the fun is that I'll be able to do some Christmas baking for other wheat sensitive friends this year.

I bought a brand called NOW blanched almond flour locally at a health food store, but it was $6 for about half a pound, so I got online and Honeyville really is the cheapest place online to find it, I would highly recommend getting it from there.

The only brand I've ever seen in my local stores is the Bob's Red Mill brand (and we have several natural food stores in the area). It is not as fine a grind as the Honeyville brand, but might do in a pinch. You might want to try to grind it a little finer in your blender before use, although I've never tried doing it.

Hi I tried running out to Whole Foods one day to buy the recommended Honeywell almond flour and could not find it. Is this brand only available online? Does anyone know of any in store brands that are comparable? I just saw a recipe I want to make for tonight and hope that there's something I can run and grab at the store. Thanks!
