<description>&#60;p&#62;When I strain yogurt, I place a small strainer or colander resting over a bowl.  Then I line the strainer with a coffee filter and then scoop the yogurt into the coffee filter.  It will take several hours to drain the liquid away, your yogurt should be pretty firm so I usually leave mine overnight in the fridge.
