Almond meal/yeast-free diet

    Hi, I love cooking with almond meal but I have recently had to go on a yeast-free diet. Does anyone know whether packaged almond meal has mold in it (as packaged almonds often do)? And if so, is there a wauy to get rid of the yeast safely?

    I'm interested in this too.. it never occurred to me. I'm yeast free too, and I don't do too well on almond flour. I'm going to try organic almond meal/flour and see if there's a difference. I think that it might be a result of all the insecticides used, but it might also be mould. Food for thought... Perhaps we'll have to go grind our own hehe
