Hi Elana, I tried both recipes of your Chocolate Chip Cookies and they were very good, especially the butter recipe. My 9 year old son said they were the best he ever had, so that is saying alot! My question is, how do your cookies come out, are they chewy or are they crisp and crunchy? Also when I made both versions the batter was pretty wet. The first recipe I made was the dairy free version, the batter was wet looking, but I just made them anyway and they came out fine. The second time, I made the butter recipe and the batter was wet again, so I added 1/3 cup of blanched almond flour (I use the honeyville brand) and it thickend right up. Both versions came out flexible and chewy but delicious. Let me know if I am doing something wrong. I did use regular chocolate chips as I did not have any choco drops.

Love your recipes and cooking philosophy.

    Hi everybody,

I love this recipe too but changed it a little to accomodate for my oven which leads a life of its own. My batter was too wet as well and the cookies were not ready after 25 minutes (!) in the oven. While the inside was not completely cooked, the outside was almost burned. So in my next batches, I put in an extra cup of almond flour and decreased the grape seed oil with 1/4 cup. Now, the cookies come out like they are probably supposed: eaten before they even cool down... ;-)
Since I cannot find Dagoba chocolate here in Europe, I buy a similar organic extra dark brand. To my great pleasure, I think these chips are bigger than the Dagoba ones... All the recipes I make are absolutely covered in chocolate. This is obviously no complaint!
Thanks again Elana, you are a great katalyst for my cooking pleasure!:-)

Stephanie - my chocolate chip cookies do come out flexible and chewy; I think you're on the right track.

Christianne - thank you for letting us know about your funky oven and for sharing your baking adventures with the forum!
