Hi, has anyone tried substituting butter for the grapeseed oil in the baked goods with almond flour? I just received the book and want to try a muffin recipe. Is it a 1:1 substitution? Thank you!, Ellen

I have the cookbook and follow the recipes to a T. So far, everything has turned out perfect! Substituting for grapeseed oil has worked very well for me. Good Luck!

I can ditto ackerman; I have tried two brands of grapeseed oil and both tasted incredibly bitter to me! I usually use coconut oil and a small amount of butter, but in a pinch I have used only butter or butter and olive oil and everytime it works great! A slightly different flavor, but no complaints from anyone yet : )

i always use olive oil as a replacement. i was afraid that the flavor would come through too much in the baked goods, but you can barley detect it in most of the recipes.
there are times where i can taste the olive oil just slightly, such as the vegan chocolate frosting, but it imparts a slight sophistication to the deep chocolatey goodness.
    i strongly recommend trying it.
also, i usually sub honey in for agave without a hitch.
