    I Googled "agave nectar controversy" and came across a rebuttal from the president of Madhava Agave Nectar.

    I've been using agave for a while now, and I like it because I don't get a blood sugar rush. I use agave and stevia almost exclusively although not excessively. I just had my yearly bloodwork drawn and my blood sugar, cholesterol, and triglycerides all came back WELL within normal ranges.

    I hope this post doesn't come across as me wanting to start a fight. There's a lot of us out there trying to make the best choices we can based on available information. I think it's wise to remember that any sweeteners should be used in moderation, whatever one's individual choice may be.
