Hi All,
I have a sensativity to refined sugar so I avoid it as much as humanly possible (it's difficult!). I love the recipes Elana has posted as Agave seems to agree with me. I am wondering if anyone has a recipe for rice crispies squares that contain no refined sugar?? I am really craving a square but seriously one bite would wreak havoc on my digistive system and hormones.
I am wondering if Elana's marshmellow frosting in her cookbook would work? I haven't tried it myself but I may just do that if there are no other suggestions.
Thanks!!!

Most crispy rice cereal has sugar in it, as it is. Here is a recipe that uses honey (or agave) as the sweetener. Almond butter could be substituted for the Peanut butter if desired. http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1630,156167-227196,00.html

i hate to promote myself so shamelessly, but here is a link to my recipe for peanut butter and honey rice crispies. if you prefer, agave may be subbed in for the honey.
