Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil is a vegetable oil made from the seeds of pressed grapes. Did you know that the seeds of grapes are a copious by-product of winemaking?!
There are some health studies which make claims that grapeseed oil has healthful properties which raise good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol.
Personally, I've found in my experience that many of the people who cannot digest gluten are also not able to tolerate dairy. This is where grapeseed oil comes into play for me in my recipes. Grapeseed oil is the closest tasting substitute to butter that I have found and it works wonderfully in baked goods. Therefore, due to its neutral flavor, it is ideal for people on a dairy-free diet.
