Today I want to share a deliciously healthy recipe from my latest book Paleo Cooking from Elana’s Pantry. I’d also like to thank all of you who let me know on Facebook and twitter that you found the book at both Costco and Target. It’s great to see the Paleo and grain-free trends spreading. Everyone deserves healthy food.

A piping hot bowl of this gluten free Broccoli Soup is the perfect dish for today. Why? We’re expecting a nice balmy high here in Boulder of 15 degrees, while we’re buried in snow from yesterday’s storm.
I was fortunate enough to spend yesterday, my Sunday, at a yoga class, and then hiking the gorgeous Mount Sanitas in the snow. As you can see, thus far, the new year is treating me well.
If you’re looking for a healthy soothing recipe to ... read more →

Oven Roasted Broccoli is a quick, easy and super healthy dish for your entire family.
I returned home from Blogher Food 2010 yesterday and found that the seasons had changed during the mere 4 days I was out of town. It now seems to actually be fall here in Boulder, which means it is the perfect weather for roasting vegetables.
My boys inhale this naturally gluten free roasted broccoli dish whenever I make it. Their friend Josh has been known to eat ... read more →

This healthy and simple Grilled Broccoli recipe was inspired by a comment Kristi left on my Grilled Chipotle Orange Chicken post way back when:
Elana, you mentioned you like to serve this yummy chicken with grilled broccoli. I’ve grilled other veggies but not this. How do you go about grilling broccoli? Thanks! Kristi
Thank you, Kristi! I hope you enjoy this grilled broccoli with my Grilled Chipotle Orange Chicken or another gluten free chicken recipe.

The secret ingredient for this round? Mushrooms. I used shiitake, though any type will work for the recipe below. And I have chosen to use their Organic Vegetable Broth.

2 tablespoons olive oil

I confess, I have an addiction to broccoli rabe. I love the bitter flavor of this delicious green vegetable. I have always believed that bitter is such an important, yet under rated flavor in our culture.
I think a lot of people drink coffee for the bitter flavor that we all need so badly. My Ayurvedic teachers used to say, “bitter is better for pitta.” Pitta is the fire element and bitter is quite good for not only cleansing the liver, ... read more →

Last night I spoke with Sean — one of the coolest people I know — and he mentioned that he missed seeing large photos with delicious recipes around here.
He just landed a huge new project, so I doubt he’ll be making pasta with broccoli anytime soon, though this tasty high-protein dish is an easy one, so maybe he’ll find the time.
