A piping hot bowl of this gluten free Broccoli Soup is the perfect dish for today. Why? We’re expecting a nice balmy high here in Boulder of 15 degrees, while we’re buried in snow from yesterday’s storm.
I was fortunate enough to spend yesterday, my Sunday, at a yoga class, and then hiking the gorgeous Mount Sanitas in the snow. As you can see, thus far, the new year is treating me well.

Oven Roasted Broccoli is a quick, easy and super healthy dish for your entire family.
I returned home from Blogher Food 2010 yesterday and found that the seasons had changed during the mere 4 days I was out of town. It now seems to actually be fall here in Boulder, which means it is the perfect weather for roasting vegetables.

I’m thrilled to be a part of Pacific Natural Foods’ Everyday Chef Challenge! For the first round of the competition, $5 Dinners, Aggie’s Kitchen, Herbivoracious, A Savory Nest and I will be using a “secret” ingredient along with one of Pacific Natural Foods’ broth products *.

I confess, I have an addiction to broccoli rabe. I love the bitter flavor of this delicious green vegetable. I have always believed that bitter is such an important, yet under rated flavor in our culture.

And now, time for something easy. After making far too many desserts during the holidays, I thought it might be good to share a recipe for a quick meal. Children and adults alike enjoy this simple, yet decadently rich pasta dish.
Macaroni and Cheese
1 box papadini rotini lentil bean pasta
2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Last night I spoke with Sean — one of the coolest people I know — and he mentioned that he missed seeing large photos with delicious recipes around here.
He just landed a huge new project, so I doubt he’ll be making pasta with broccoli anytime soon, though this tasty high-protein dish is an easy one, so maybe he’ll find the time.
