Many apple cider recipes have sugar added to them and are overly sweet, for my taste. This recipe however goes in the other direction, I add water to it to dilute the natural sweetness of the apple juice. This also stretches the amount, making the recipe more economical.
I made this the other day during the super chilly weather and with it’s warming spices (cinnamon and cloves) it hit the spot.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve been asked for a vegan eggnog recipe. This gluten free, dairy free (egg free) eggnog is not too challenging to make and full of filling rich yumminess.
Unlike other eggnogs, it’s not too sweet and has a nice delicate nutmeg flavor. If you want to decrease the sweetness further, go with only 1 tablespoon of agave in the recipe below, or eliminate it entirely. You’ll still have the natural sweetness of the almonds ... read more →

Although I don’t drink alcohol, I do enjoy indulging in a sparkling beverage at festive events.
This little fruit based treat below is perfect for adults and children on special occasions. My boys love it, as do I. Here, I use pineapple juice, though feel free to use any juice of your choice and garnish with your favorite citrus or other fruits.

Baseball is indeed over. However, all-stars have begun and my son and several of his little cohorts are on the team. We are now therefore faced with practice daily from 5:30 to 7:30. Thank goodness I am not coaching!

This homemade, gluten free Almond Milk is a natural, dairy free milk alternative.

I have been guzzling gallons of my favorite summer beverage during this hot spell. It’s another easy one, and better yet, has no sugar or artificial sweeteners.
How’s that possible? See for yourself…
2 quarts water
¼ cup lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
4 dropper-fulls stevia
Fill a 2 quart mason jar with water, almost to the top, leaving 2 inches of space for other ingredients
