Salmon Wasabi Burgers are perfect if you adore spicy food, and enjoy the pungent, hot taste of wasabi and ginger. I make these spicy burgers with wild caught salmon and just a few other healthy ingredients, and serve them sans buns. When I do need a bun, I use lettuce or other greens as a serving vehicle for my burger recipes, and find that crispy Romaine lettuce works especially well. Boston, or bibb lettuce also works superbly for this purpose.
I serve these Salmon Wasabi Burgers with my Asian Cole Slaw recipe, the flavor combination is absolutely fabulous, and this is how I depicted these fish burgers in the photo above!

These high protein Sesame Salmon Burgers pair nicely with Garlic Ginger Bok Choy (pictured in background of photo above; stay tuned for recipe next week).

This recipe is based on one by Ellyn Goodrich at epicurious.com, called “Alaskan Halibut and Salmon Gefilte Fish Terrine.” While Goodrich’s recipe makes a gefilte fish “loaf,” mine is for traditional (yet gluten free) gefilte fish balls (like my Bubby made) only with more vegetables, so that they are a bit lighter and healthier than the standard gefilte-fare.

This high protein salmon dish with Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Soup from Pacific Foods was a big hit with my husband, and children as well.
The sweet, smoky taste of the sauce (which simply uses the above soup) along with healthy spinach and salted salmon, results in a sophisticated entree that is not too challenging to make –a lovely dish that will wow your guests.

This recipe for quick and easy grilled salmon is based on Kalyn’s Grilled Salmon with Maple Syrup Glaze from Kalyn’s Kitchen. I find that her site is a fantastic source overall, and particularly for protein filled entrees. I had the pleasure of being on a panel at Blogher last year with Kalyn, and am looking forward to seeing her again this year. The Blogher Food Conference is less than 2 months away.

There was a shortage of Fish Kabayaki the other night when I made this amazing dish from Jaden’s Steamy Kitchen Cookbook. I used salmon to make this sweet and tangy fish dish and it was phenomenal.

With baseball back in the picture and our afternoons filled with practices I find myself looking for quick entrees that offer a lot of protein without a lot of work. This Chipotle Lime Salmon is one of those. My husband loved it, pronouncing it blog-worthy after his first bite.

Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods. I bought some recently on a trip to the store, though I had no idea what would become of them.

I love to eat salmon. Actually, I love the idea of eating salmon. All those good omega 3′s. Lately, I’ve been on a quest to create salmon toppings that disguise the fishy flavor. Here’s one that worked well.
Salmon with Anchovy Olive Tapenade
4 (4 ounce) fillets wild salmon
¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 tablespoon salted anchovies, chopped
1 tablespoon rosemary, minced
1 cup black kalamata olives, pitted
