Given the number of requests lately that I’ve had for gluten-free recipes that are also nut-free, I decided to create a quick and easy brownie recipe made out of sunflower butter. What is sunflower butter? It is similar to almond butter, however it is made of ground sunflower seeds. These Sunbutter Brownies are a cinch to make and a chocolatey delight.

Last night I had a hunkering for gluten free peanut butter cookies. I went over to Elise’s site, Simply Recipes, and found a yummy looking recipe for gluten-filled Peanut Butter Cookies. I experimented a bit, made a couple of changes to her recipe and came up with a nice gluten free cookie dough. I then decided that it might be fun to make a gluten free peanut butter and jelly cookie.

I was thrilled to have the darling Kelly and her adorable family over for dinner during one night of Hanukkah a couple of weeks ago. We made a delicious meal using various recipes from each of our cookbooks and websites, and then had the absolutely scrumptious dessert pictured above: Banana Coconut Cream Pie (made by Kelly, a recipe from her 2nd book) with Sunbutter Ice Cream (made by me, another recipe from Kelly’s awesome 2nd book).
