Celebrate fall with gluten free muffins made from freshly roasted pumpkin and coconut flour, along with a glass of almond milk.
If I had a grain free muffin of the month club November would be pumpkin spice muffins. September would be banana muffins and May would be blueberry muffins. Of course, I have no such club, however, I do love a good healthy muffin.

These healthy, higher protein, gluten free Date Walnut Bars are a nice alternative to my more indulgent gluten free Cake Pops. If you follow me on Facebook, you know I’m obsessed with cake pops. After I put the words “cake pops” in my status update bar for the umpteenth time, one of my followers said, “yes, I have noticed them!” I think she may have had just a twinge if sarcasm in her response, though who can blame her.

Food is politics. More than ever. So, imagine my surprise when I found this comment the other day, right here on my little ol’ blog saying:
“I love your recipe blog, but really don’t agree with your political views or comments. Try to stay more focused on the food instead of politics. You may keep more friends that way.”

Update: here is a revised version of this gluten free cranberry walnut bread.
I have received many requests for holiday recipes these last few days, so I thought I’d share one of my Thanksgiving favorites –gluten free, dairy free cranberry nut bread.
In the next week or so, I’ll post another one of my favorite cranberry recipes, raw cranberry relish.

Tomorrow is my birthday and the festivities have already begun! Last night my husband and the boys and I went out for dinner at our favorite local restaurant. At the end of the meal, my children wanted to order (and split) the Coffee Affogato –vanilla gelato drowned in a shot of espresso.
