I had been really getting into the V-day festivities when the boys were younger. We made loads of homemade cards and treats back then. Now though, they’re getting big (one is almost 11 and the other is already 12), so Valentine’s day isn’t really on their radar these days. We’re more into football, baseball, skiing, hiking and books on sports by Mike Lupica. Still, we love to bake together so this weekend, we’ll be making more Heart Cake Pops for the boys and all of their friends, and my husband, of course!
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Do you celebrate it at all? Or is it a Hallmark holiday to you? What are your plans for this weekend and Monday, February 14th?

Elana,
Thank you so much for your cake pop recipe! My shy little 5 year-old son liked the picture and wanted to make them so he could pass them out at school. They were such a hit and really fun to make. I might have caught your addiction!

Thanks for all the yummy ideas!
I’ll be celebrating Valentine’s with my Sweetie. We have a yummy dinner menu planned to cook together.
One of the desserts we will be making is the lemon bars from your book. We love topping them with fresh raspberries.

I dont really celebrate it, but this year I’m so inspired by all the valentines day posts, that I think I will bake for the whole family!
